- Verify the VMware ESXi 6.0 host has forward and reverse DNS records
- Select the correct datacenter object
- Enter the hostname of the VMware ESXi 6.0 host
- Enter the root authentication credentials
- Trust the SHA1 thumbprint
- Verify the host summary settings
- Enter license information
- Accept the default setting of Disabled for Lockdown mode
- Verify the VMware ESXi 6.0 host configuration
- Verify the recent task completed
- Verify the VMware ESXi 6.0 host is a member of the datacenter
- Verify the vpxuser user account was created on the VMware ESXi 6.0 host
- Configure the dump collector
- Test the core dump collector
- Configure the redirect to a syslog collector
- Restart the VMware ESXi 6.0 host
- Create a host profile from the VMware ESXi 6.0 host
- Create a Cluster
- Enter a cluster name
- Verify the create cluster task completed
- Verify the cluster object has been created
- Apply the host profile previously created to the cluster
