  • Summary: I planned, implemented and supported the migration of (12) physical branch servers which was part of an effort to upgrade the Microsoft Active Directory domain and forest functional levels from Microsoft Windows Server 2003 to Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2. The original branch servers were running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 on IBM hardware and were migrated to Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 on Dell PowerEdge R630 rack mount servers. This included the demotion and promotion of all (12) branch servers to Microsoft Active Directory domain controllers as well as the installation and configuration of the DNS, DHCP, DFS, and WINS services. Lastly, Dell OpenManage Essentials 2.1 was implemented in conjunction with the Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller 8 (iDRAC8) for the monitoring and management of the Dell PowerEdge R630 servers.
