  • Create a Distributed Switch
    • Name: Distributed Switch 01
    • Datacenter: DATACENTER01
    • Version: Distributed switch: 6.0.0
    • Number of uplinks: 8
    • Port group name: DVS – iSCSI – 01
  • Create Additional Port Groups
    • Name: DVS – iSCSI – 02
    • Name: DVS – Fault Tolerance
    • Name: DVS – vMotion
    • Name: DVS – VM Network
  • Configure NIC Teaming for Port Groups
    • Name: DVS – iSCSI – 01
      • Active Uplinks: Uplink 1
    • Name: DVS – iSCSI – 02
      • Active Uplinks: Uplink 2
    • Name: DVS – Fault Tolerance
      • Active Uplinks: Uplink 3 and Uplink 4
    • Name: DVS – vMotion
      • Active Uplinks: Uplink 5 and Uplink 6
    • Name: DVS – VM Network
      • Active Uplinks: Uplink 7 and Uplink 8
  • Add Host(s) to the Distributed Switch
    • Manage physical adapters
  • Configure VMkernel Adapters
    • iSCSI
    • Fault Tolerance
    • vMotion
  • Enable Health Check
  • Verify the health of the distributed switch is Normal
  • Export the Configuration of the Distributed Switch
